To help you get started, here’s some information about CO when BBQing and using outdoor gas and fuel burning appliances…
Did you know that barbecues and other outdoor gas and fuel burning appliances, like patio heaters and camping stoves, can sometimes produce a dangerous gas called CO? It’s a gas you can’t see, smell, or taste, but it can make you very sick if you breathe it in. That’s why it’s super important to only use these appliances outside, in open spaces where fresh air can blow the gas away. Never use them indoors, in a tent or in a small enclosed area (even if it’s raining), because the gas can quickly build up and become very dangerous. Always make sure a grown-up is in charge and keeping everyone safe while enjoying your yummy barbecue treats or staying warm with a patio heater!
You can discover more about CO with Safety Seymour here and with the CO Crew here.
Remember, CO safety starts with YOU! Submit your 30 second advert and help keep families safe this summer.

If you’re the winner, you’ll get a £100 voucher and your advert will be played on Fun Kids! At the end of the year, we’ll pick the ULTIMATE WINNER who will win another £100 voucher.
